Re: House.
Sun, May 18, 2008 - 7:50 PMI think I saw this... what did you like best about the film- aesthetics, plot, suspense, hot guys? Please share with us why you recommend the film! Funny / campy is sometimes good in a horror flick, I appreciate that. For instance, I LOVE Dead Alive- totally hilarious! I love the gore, the absurdity, and that it's completely overdone.
Brief synopsis below of HOUSE (no spoilers, no worries!)
Roger Cobb is a Vietnam vet. Whose career as a horror novelist has taken a turn for the worse when his son Jimmy mysteriously disappears while visiting his aunt's house. Roger's search for Jimmy destroys his marriage and his writing career. The sudden death of his aunt brings Roger back to the house where his nightmares began.
Thx, ni

Re: House.
Sun, May 18, 2008 - 9:40 PMI dunno, it's just a funny ass'd horror flick
that's pretty simple and yet unpredictable.
Well, kinda unpredictable...
okay not really but it's still funny and a little spooky.
A classic.
Like a poor mans Evil Dead.
It's even got Norm from Cheers in House I and Cliff in House II.
Here's a link to a trailer that does the movie 'service':

and a clip from the actual music, love the song at the end:

Re: House.
Mon, May 19, 2008 - 8:08 PMDamn. Now I remember that House flick. I loved that- actually saw it at a drive-in theater. I laughed all the way through, especially at the end. This film has some great aesthetics- I love the look and 'feel' that it creates. AND, it's campy as hell! I don't know if I saw House II, but I'm willing to bet that I did. Gonna see House again here, soon! Norm is a really creepy character, huh.
Thanks for the links!
